WELL-OF-THE-WELL (WOW) DISH

VitaVitro® WOW (Well-of-the-Well) Dish is designed for culturing embryos following fertilization to the blastocyst stage.
WOW dish can be used: both for single medium – uninterrupted culture and two-phase medium systems. For maximum benefit, we suggest single uninterrupted culture between Day 1 and 5 in humans, Day 1 and 7 in cattle. It’s not necessary to refresh the medium during culture as it could compromise the microenvironmental effect and development.

TO CREATE A CULTURE
ENVIRONMENT

The VitaVitro® WOW Dish is an advanced IVF culture dish designed to simulate the human body environment. It allows group culture of embryos by re-creating three-dimensional in vitro environment for embryos while maintaining individual separation between the embryos. The semi-globe connected to straight walls - a kind of inverted sugar-loaf shape microwells allow dilution of light waste materials and increase concentration of heavy autocrine and paracrine factors around the embryos, thus promote embryo growth and development. The flat-bottom microwells are designed for individual microscopic evaluation or Time-Lapse follow-up, providing. options for special needs. It is especially recommended for the continuous culture of D1-D5 human embryos and D1-D7 bovine embryos, without changing the culture medium during the culture process, maintaining the stability of the microenvironment, thus providing ideal conditions for the development of embryos.
The three compartments offer a choice for individual culture of zygotes and embryos,
including zona-free ones.
If the purpose of the laboratory is to have a maximum number of good quality embryos, we strongly suggest using the upper left compartment.

HUMDISH

A purpose-designed sterile plastic dish for mammalian preimplantation embryo culture, especially for but not restricted to dry incubators or those with inconsistent, uncontrolled humidity levels.
The major benefit of Humdish is to eliminate damage caused by incubators with insufficient humidity (<90%), especially during uninterrupted cultures with single media. However, Humdish is helpful for all embryo culture systems and incubators by stabilizing both humidity (>96%, up to Day 7) and temperature with a large amount of warm water around cultures.
Most incubators used for embryo culture miss the proper, controllable humidification system. Evaporation-related increase of osmolality may compromise the outcome of uninterrupted blastocyst cultures, resulting in tens of thousands of unsuccessful cycles every year. We have no time to wait, no money to waste for new sophisticated incubator models. We need a cost-efficient, safe, universal solution - right now.

STABLE

Maintains high (95-98%) humidity and consistent osmolality levels between Day 1 and 7. Decreases temperature fluctuations.

SAFE and SIMPLE

Presence of water in the outer ring indicates proper function and correct parameters.

VitaVitro® Humdish is the result of a radically new approach - a kind of Columbus’ egg. Instead of humidifying the incubator, we keep individual dishes humid. Using a large water reservoir in the outer ring and minimizing evaporation by a narrow gap between the outer wall and the lid, the humidity level remains at 96-98% between Day 0 and 7, stabilising osmolality during the whole culture period. Additionally, the surrounding water decreases temperature fluctuations caused by door openings or microscopic control (if the latter is unavoidable).

FEATURES

  • Added the external water tank to maintain the high humidity environment in the petri dish and reduce the evaporation of the culture medium, to prevent the increase of the osmotic pressure of the culture medium during the culture period.

A special lid equipped with a sensor is available to test the humidity level in the Humdish under your standard embryo culture conditions.

How to avoid condensation on the lid, i.e.

- before dish preparation, warm everything (dish, lid, medium, oil and water) to 37℃

- lift slightly the lid at prolonged visual control (although this prolonged visual investigation is strongly discouraged).
